Who we are
A Lifelong Love for Cats
For over thirty years, cats have been a cherished part of our lives. After the passing of our beloved red tabby, Niunius, at the age of 17, we were heartbroken. Wanting to heal and continue sharing our lives with cats, we decided to adopt a breed that had always fascinated us — the gentle giant. That’s how Vinnetou came into our lives, arriving from Europe. We quickly fell in love with the Maine Coon breed and were inspired to start our own cattery to share this joy with other families.
The Beginning of Ray Du Soleil Maine Coons
In 2006, Ray Du Soleil Maine Coons was born. Our first breeding cat was Fiji, a classic red tabby and the heart of our cattery. He is lion-like, intelligent, a sweet mommy’s boy, and incredibly easygoing. Fiji earned his title as a Quadruple Grand Champion and was named the Second Best Red Classic Tabby of the Year. We proudly show our Maine Coons through TICA (The International Cat Association) and CFA (Cat Fanciers’ Association).
Our Breeding Philosophy and Bloodlines
Since our beginning, our love for Maine Coons has grown into a deep passion for breeding these magnificent cats. Our breeding program includes exceptional European and American Grand Champion lines known for their health, friendly temperament, ideal type, and remarkable personalities. We focus on preserving the breed’s signature features while prioritizing excellent health and temperament.
We offer a wide variety of colors, including browns, silvers, blues, reds, creams, and torbies — with and without white — primarily in classic tabby patterns, as well as solids (black and tortie) and smoke. Since 2022, Beauty — a lovely polydactyl — has joined our family. We are thrilled to now welcome kittens with charming six-toed paws into the world.
Raised with Love, as Family
Our approach to raising kittens is simple: they are part of the family. Raised underfoot and handled from birth, our kittens receive constant human interaction. This ensures they are well-socialized and ready to adapt quickly to their new homes. We are committed to their health and well-being. All of our cats are regularly vaccinated and tested free of FeLV, FIV, and HCM. Our trusted veterinarian visits our home to examine and monitor the health of every kitten. Nutrition is also a priority — we feed our cats high-quality food that supports their overall health and beautiful appearance.
